Welcome

InteractiveSpaces is an interdisciplinary research center bringing together architecture, engineering, and computer science with the research mission to create new concepts for future interactive spaces. The center is hosted by Aarhus University, Department of Computer Science, and the Aarhus School of Architecture. The Center is conducting a number of research and development projects operated by the Alexandra Institute.

InteractiveSpaces.net brings together companies and public researchers in a R&D activities leading to new products and services for specific domains. The research activities focus on a range of research themes that may be applicable to one or more of the application domain projects undertaken in the center. The application domains being studied include schools, libraries, museums, homes, cities, and specific workplaces.

“The Swing” – a dynamic urban space installation “The Swing” – a dynamic urban space installation
"Ånd og Vidensfestivalen" at Roskilde is a completely new winter festival. A two-day cavalcade of activities and experiences taking place in February 2010 which will light up the streets, buildings and residents of Roskilde. It will focus on scientific knowledge and spiritual breathing space, to create a festival with an ambitious complex program of activities and experiences for all residents. Interactive Spaces has developed the installation "The Swing" - an interactive installation that comes into play at the visitor's physical activities. The installation invites people into an activity which most of us know from our childhood; to swing. [more]

Interactive Spaces forvandler et lidt forudsigeligt Roskilde Bibliotek til et oplevelsesrum, som dykker ned i den informationsstrøm, der flyder mellem bibliotek og omverden.
